Junior Classes
At Hong Park Tae Kwon Do we want all of our students to become Black Belts, not only in martial arts, but also in every aspect of their lives. In today's world, children are constantly being challenged with difficult choices, together with your assistance, we can help give them the tools they need to make the right decisions as they continue on their path of Black Belt excellence. Junior Classes - Our programs geared specifically towards teenagers, through which we hope to give them the confidence, respect, self-esteem, and discipline to get through the occasional difficulties of adolescense, and grow into happy adults . Ages 12 to 17 Home schooling classes - Daytime programs geared specifically towards students who school at home, and who have that spare time during the day. Intent To Promote- This program was designed as another way to promote character development through Tae kwon do training. The Intent to Promote forms we provide address two areas of each students life outside of Tae kwon do. There is a place on the form that must be circled AGREE or DISAGREE, and must be signed by your Childs school teacher to indicate if the student is performing satisfactorily and acting with respect at school. There is another place on the form where you as parents may evaluate your child's behavior at home. If your child does not get an "AGREE" from both their teacher and yourselves, then they must wait for promotional testing until they have demonstrated some margin of improvement in those areas. Hong Park Tae kwon do College must receive back every student's "Intent To Promote" form or we do not promote the student. Each form must be handed in with testing applications for all students grade two to high school. Children are then being held accountable, not just for what happens in the dojang, but for their behavior and attitude at home and school. We want all of our students to become Black Belts, not only in martial arts, but also in every aspect of their lives.
